Computers are used as a tool to assist in accomplishing assorted tasks within the academic environment, for professional work, and on personal projects.  As such, this is a beginning-level course in the basic use of computers.  This will include 10-finger typing proficiency for all students, safe web-usage, netiquette, MS Word, MS Powerpoint, MS Excel, and other commonly used applications.  Components from other disciplines (English and Mathematics) will be incorporated to better facilitate learning of these applications in an applied setting.
